Restylane® and Perlane® are made of hyaluronic acid. In the human body, natural hyaluronic acid provides volume and fullness to the skin. The hydrophilic or "water loving" nature of the hyaluronic acid molecules in Restylane® and Perlane® and their three dimensional structure allows them to bind many times their own weight in water. As hyaluronic acid begins to degrade, each molecule binds to more water which helps maintain its volume for about six months.

Are Restylane® and Perlane® safe?
Restylane® and Perlane® have well-defined safety profiles. Restylane has been used in over 1.4 million treatments in the U.S. and is available in more than 70 countries. It is the most studied dermal filler in the world with dozens of publications in the medical literature. Clinical studies have shown no significant differences in the safety of Restylane and Perlane.

Restylane® and Perlane® contain no animal proteins. This limits any risk of animal-based disease transmissions or development of allergic reactions. No allergy testing is required before use. Restylane® and Perlane® contain trace amounts of gram-positive bacterial proteins and are contraindicated for patients with a history of allergies to such material.

What is BOTOX® Cosmetic?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple, nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people from 18 to 65 years of age. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

How does BOTOX® Cosmetic work?
BOTOX® Cosmetic works by reducing the contractions of the muscles that cause those persistent frown lines that have developed over time.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those frown lines between the brows to form over time. Just one 10-minute treatment—a few tiny injections—and within days there's a noticeable improvement in moderate to severe frown lines between the brows, which can last up to 4 months. Results may vary.

Is BOTOX® Cosmetic safe?
More than 13 million aesthetic procedures with BOTOX® Cosmetic have been administered since the product was first approved in 2002 in the United States for temporary treatment of moderate to severe glabellar lines (the vertical “frown lines” between the eyebrows) in adults ages 18-65. What are side effects to BOTOX® Cosmetic?
Most side effects are temporary and typically associated with the injection itself, such as localized pain, tenderness, redness and/or bruising.  Since its first approval more than 18 years ago, reports of serious adverse events in patients receiving BOTOX®  have been rare.

Will I be able to make facial expressions?
After treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic, you may look in the mirror and see a marked improvement in the moderate to severe frown lines between your brows. But BOTOX® Cosmetic will not radically change your facial appearance. You can still frown or look surprised—without the wrinkles and creases between your brows.

What is Dysport?
Dysport is a prescriptive, injectable medicine that when inserted in the muscle helps to improve moderate and severe frown lines between the eyebrows. It works by weakening the muscles.

How long does it last?
Normally Dysport lasts up to 12 to 16 weeks.  Longer than Botox® Cosmetic!

What are the possible side effects of Dysport?
Possible side effects of Dysport include: injection site discomfort, headache, muscle pain. More serious side effects are: double vision, drooping eyelids, blurred vision and swelling of the eyelids.  Allergic reactions may include: itching, rash, wheezing, asthma symptoms and/or dizziness.

What is Juvederm®?
Juvederm® is an injectable gel that smooths away wrinkles and folds in the skin, like those "parentheses" lines around your mouth.

When will I see a difference? How long does it last?
You'll be able to see the difference immediately!  This FDA approved filler can last up to 1 year with 1 treatment (depending on severity of skin, age of patient, etc.)

What are the side effects?
The side effect may include: temporary injection-site redness/bleeding, swelling, pain/tenderness, firmness, lumps/bumps and/or bruising.  These effects are usually mild and generally last less than 7 days.

What is Sculptra®?
Sculptra® is a FDA approved synthetic filler that is injected below the surface of the skin to create a fuller, more youthful appearance to your face.  Sculptra® is also known as the "liquid face lift".

How long does it last?
Sculptra® on average can last 2 years or more because it causes the body to stimulate your very own collagen.

When will I see results?
Sculptra® is a gradual process which yields results over a few weeks time. Therefore, you may not see results immediately.  It does not give you that "just got done" look…a noticeable difference will happen over time.

What are the side effects?
The most common side effects of Sculptra® are injection site bleeding, tenderness, bruising and swelling.
